Who I Am

Born nearly 10 lbs to a diabetic mother I was a fat baby who grew to be a fat toddler, then a fat child, a fat teenager, a fat adult. At 30 years old there has never been a time in my life where “fat” wasn’t an adjective that accurate described me. This is a fact that I am changing. God willing, I will no longer belong to the Tribe of FatGirl. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Tribe of FatGirl. Being Bisexual I’m very sexually attracted to fat girls (there is something so beautiful and inviting about a soft girl with curves that bounces and jiggles when she giggles). lol 🙂 But as a woman myself I have come to the point where I need a change. I’ve had to shop in plus size stores since I was 12 years old.

I’m tired of being denied things that women my size aren’t allowed.  And one of those things is cute clothes! I want, for the first time in my life, to be able to shop in a “normal” store and buy cute clothes that fit me! It may sound shallow but that’s the main reason why I’m doing this. For most of my life I’ve been living in the ugly frumpy grandma clothes the “designers” force fat women to wear and I’m sick of it. My clothes do not reflect who I am as a person. I’m frequently mistaken for a woman in her 40’s (and I’m only 30), and a large part is due to the clothes that I have to wear. At my size you buy and wear what you are lucky enough to find that fits you – it’s no wonder people think fat girls have no fashion sense, we have no choices.

So here I go – on a journey to change my body so that I can eventually change my wardrobe. If I become more adventurous and active along the way – YAY, Icing on the cake!

Hey! I just wanted to say hello and wish you lots of luck on your journey! I 100% agree with the problem with clothes. Try being 21 and in the plus sized department!!!! Its crazy. Shopping in a normal store is also one of my top goals. Feel free to subscribe to my blog!
